I am not a financial wizard. I’ve lived on the more minimal/simplify end of the consumer scale, yet still managed to spend more over the past years than I should have.
I am, however, incredibly motivated to sock away enough money to declare financial independence so I can enjoy a more simple life. I’m single with a kiddo in college so it’s up to me to get it done!
I currently work in healthcare for a modest but very reasonable salary and aim to save half my take home pay, which is currently going toward my Past Self (aka debt repayment). I’m hiking steadily forward to achieve the zero debt phase and entering the wealth accumulation phase.
I’m getting a late start and I’m starting from scratch, but I am still ahead of the game just by knowing the game exists!
